Friday was
Garryowen day and two thirds of the main arena was given over to the judging of the six
different phases of this prestigious turnout event, the other one third of the grounds was
taken up with the magnificent Clydesdales, splendidly decked out in full harness and
pulling a lorry, just as they would have 100 years ago when these wonderful horses were a
part of our everyday commercial life.
I love the heavy horses - with their feathered
legs and noble expression, I was not able to see exhibit numbers, so I hope you
enjoy the images - just as I did on Friday. |
