Moya Jess - Steward
enjoys a joke with
Lyndon Hearn who was
judging the Manners and Paces (horses!)
Both
Lyndon and Moya are also very experienced Dressage Judges and bring a great deal of
knowledge to their job today.
Leanne Bordin from Kyogle in NSW
was assessing the Riding.
Like all the judges
... she was beautifully dressed and a picture of elegance.
Jean Purcell was judging the
horse's conformation.
She ws recently named the
Racing Victoria's - Racing Lady of the Year - 2001.
I noticed that she paid great attention to the horse's legs
-no doubt with a view to their ongoing soundness!
Pam Davey - Judge of the Saddlery
Pam brings to her job a great depth of experience in showing and turnout
events.
Kerrie Delaney from Victoria -
Judged the Costume.
She told me she would be
looking for the fit and quality.
She said that it was important that the rider felt
comfortable --- and of course, cleanliness.
Melissa McCauley
was Judging the
General Appearance of the
combinations in the
2001 Garryowen.
Shae Hanger took part in the
presentations -
She is Violet Murell's Great,
Great Niece, and today wore her famed Auntie's outfit.
Shae is taking part in a turnout class on Saturday 22nd. and
hopes to compete in the
Garryowen one day - she also hopes to win it!
