This was a lovely class to watch as any one of
the of the top ten finalist could have won - there was not much in it. To me the
judges looked for that little bit extra in the workout.
The riders were given every opportunity to
show their ponies to best advantage. The ring had a wealth of talent and experience
to ensure that the event ran well.
Pictured right is Rosemary Metherall - a very
experienced show identity, who acted as the steward in this ring. |

The lovely black pony - Dickens
of Wyuna made a few little mistakes in his workout - at any other show, this may not cost
the blue ribbon. But today in this top class field, it probably did. |

Dickens of Wyuna was very well
ridden by his talented young owner Kali Terracall from Bellarine. |

The judges of the Large Pony
Final were David Calbert, Edwina Beckingham and Don Watkins - they certainly had a
difficult job to pick the winner from this very strong class, representing the best ponies
in the State. |

Morningside Step Ahead - the

'Legendary' commentator, Graham
Barker asks the judge's representative Edwina Buckingham just what the judges were looking
for ... "A quality pony that worked well" said Edwina. |

The 'red coats' do a wonderful
job escorting the show horses around the showgrounds. This hard working part of the team is Mandy Hugh from Kilmore and she
deserves a medal for her tireless effort on this very hot day, when she would have been
much more comfortable by the pool - well done Mandy and all of the 'red coats' |
