Australia's Phillip Dutton over The Bridge they came into the
X-Country in 2nd place after the Dressage and maintained this placing.
Bettina Hoy was the leader after the Dressage but a
comparatively disappointing X Country score
pulled the down to 22nd after this phase
Back around to the water jump - the number 12 complex and now
the steep approach off Jump 11 is very much deteriorated and problematic.
Piia Pantsu from Finland moved up from 8th after the Dressage to
4th placing with a fab XC ride.
Here they take the Stone House No 12C
Kristina Althea Cook for Great Britain follows in her famous
mum's footsteps ... and takes this
troublesome part of Jump 12 with ease
Arnaud Boiteau for France on
Expo Du Moulin as they approach The Stone House - at the Number 12 water complex.
Stone House - The fast option at Jump 12
See pic right for the slow option.
Carlos Grave for Portugal take the slow option at the water (12)
and his horse Laughton Hills Mata Do, had no problems. They kept to the left and
avoided the jump (Stone House) to the left of this picture.
Above: Australia's Sammi McLeod (on Frederick Hunter) averted
disaster with her quick thinking and positive riding when they had a hesitation as the
base of the steep approach from Jump 11. They looked to be planning to keep to their
left and off the churned up surface and down over the slow option at 12.
Frederick Hunter seemed to be confused by the directions and ran out and up the
bank - thankfully avoiding the many people who sat with their legs under the fence and on
the grass. It all happened very quickly, but Sammi kept her cool and managed to get
around this troublesome and challenging complex.
