The
Australian Horse Industry
Council is working hard to bring together all areas of the
horse industry. Headed by Dr Paul O'Callaghan, they are
currently working on the issues of insurance within the horse

The
Brumby Protection Group is an organisation that has been set up to
bring the plight of Australia's wild horses in to public eye.
The
National Reining Horse Association were on hand to answer
questions and provide information on Reining - which appears to be
the fastest growing equestrian sport.
Inclusion in to the World Equestrian Games at Jerez, Spain in 2002
has done a lot to promote this event.
The
Queensland branch of Riding for the Disabled had a stand showing
many wonderful pictures - many of which could provide inspiration
to we more able-bodied riders. This organisation does a
wonderful job.
The National Rodeo Council of Australia with a fantastic display of rodeo shots and
information. These lovely ladies added a lot of colour and
sparkle!
The National Cutting Horse Association
provides information and support for this fast growing sport.
Nothing compares with the
thrill of sitting on a cutting horse when it is working underneath
you.
The Queensland Polocrosse Association
were keen to promote the Australian sport. Described as a cross
between polo and lacrosse - it is a fast action game with levels
suitable for all riders.
Australia's only Four Star Horse
Trials held in the city of Adelaide parklands every November.
