Sunday, the final day of this three day equestrian, food and wine
extravaganza and the weather tried very hard to spoil the atmosphere and fun.
Spirits were high and most people continued to enjoy themselves keeping dry under the many
coloured brollies that now dotted the sweeping landscape of Scotchmans Hill.
Today's competition started at
10.00 with the Hickstead Challenge, followed by the Showjumping phase of the CIC ***.
There was a marquee set up
on the cross country course where officials, competitors and others gathered and enjoyed a
dry place and the most sumptuous lunch you could possibly imagine. Spray Farm was
part of the Equitana Asia Pacific 2001 Program, and this event brought to a close a
wonderful two weeks of horses and fun.
Definitive Events who stage
Equitana, are to be congratulated for their vision in bringing this fantastic concept to
Australia and the hard work that it takes to make such a huge show a success for all
concerned.
The program did not have the
details of the Hickstead Challenge field, so I hope that I did a reasonably accurate job
of the names and spelling - apologies for any errors. |
