| The
overall Medium Championship was deservedly won by Rozzie Ryan on her stunning imported
young stallion Jive Magic (pictured above). He is by the Dutch superstar Jazz (also
the sire of Mayfield Pzazz). Jazz is ridden by Tinnecke Bartels and Rozzie bought
Jive Magic as a foal when she was in Holland training with Tinnecke. It is easy to
see the excellent basic education that this horse has received - he is so through and
responsive to the riders' aids. He has just turned 7 - so has not been rushed.
He made his National debut just one year ago as a 6 year old. Interestingly Eric Lette made the comment that far too many Australian horses were being rushed into work that they were not ready for. It is great to see someone like Rozzie taking her time and giving the horse every opportunity to go on and consolidate good training which will mean that she will have him for many years to come. Hopefully he will be a future Australian representative. Well done Rozzie. |

 Young Rider - Renee Pedretti on Maureen Barrell's outstanding chestnut gelding Northern Regency (Reg). Renee has taken the competitive ride while Maureen is taken up with nursing a child with a broken leg and other family commitments. Well done Renee. |
 Third place in the open 4E class was a great effort for a Young Rider - Briana Burgess from NSW looks justifiably please with her efforts. She is riding Daylight a gorgeous Don Ramiro mare that she purchased from her instructor Rozzie Ryan a few months ago. This was a lovely flowing and competently ridden display. |

 Mayfield Pzazz and Dr. Kerry Mack have had a charmed rise to fame over the past few years (I am sure hard work has not been left out) and this talented young stallion is off to take part in the World Young Horse Championships. - Good luck we are all proud of you both and wish you the very best luck - enjoy the experience. |

 Jaybee Leuwin and Nicole Magoffin from Queensland. Leuwin is owned by Bev Edwards who gave Nicole the last minute ride, when her horse went lame. |
 Michael Baker on the talented, big moving Feurig. Michael does a great job on this horse and he would have been pleased with a 7th place in the 4F test. |

 Debra Court on Northern Delphinius - this Victorian combination are starting to consolidate their rising position. |
 AEA Inspector - fantastic movement but some tension kept the judges feeling conservative. He was well ridden by Kate Boyes for his owner Sarah Jane Wagg who lives overseas. Well done Kate. |

 Northern Charmer and Elaine Castellini worked well below their best today - that's horses for you. Elaine and her vet husband run a small stud with a menagerie of ex-homeless and rehabilitating animals from his practice. I am sure Elaine will use this experience as a stepping stone in her mare's training. |
 Whenever I see Anne Smith and Simply the Best (Imp) I am envious, as he is my 'dream horse'! He is beautiful, with perfect markings. He always does a lovely test and today was no exception. - well done 'Herman' and Anne. |

 Popular Victorian FEI rider Leanne Williams on her 2nd. string horse Little Miss Em. The petite mare can really produce some great work but has been out of competition for over 6 months and was rather tense and unsettled today. |
 Deena Peters and On the Rocks did not have a 'dream ride' but would have loved being a part of this great competition. Good luck with your training and future outings. |
