The 14-16 year old riders were a very competant group, and mounted on very good quality horses - I wonder if they can imagine how the quality of the larger ponies and galloways have improved in their lifetime. The older 'clumpy' type of galloway has been rreplaced by an ultra elegant minature hack, with all ov the movement and high spirits that go with this package. The young riders showed quite good riding skills, but overall I felt that many of the horses were a little stiff and set in their carriage. |
