An attractive chestnut

his beautiful head.

He became the runner-up.

State Occasion the bit Thoroughbred bay - so nicely presented and well ridden by Megan Bult.
A wrong depart at the canter is costly when working out for Champion from such a quality group of beautiful horses.

Very often when hacks go over 16.1 or 2, they lose their quality and refinement.  No so, with Sequel - he is stunning, with perfect conformation and lovely flowing paces.   Sequel, who is known as 'Jet'  is prepared and shown by the master of the show ring - Dale Plumb.

Shelley McGuiness and Shirvington were a pleasure to watch.  'Bobby' (Shirvington) has such wonderful expression in his movement and is one of the few who could do very well as a dressage horse.  Shelley did an excellent job and showed her skill as a trainer - congratulations.

Stephen Merry on the gorgeous Dashing.  This horse was ridden by Michael Christie in the first round and Michael was also aboard when Dashing was recently the winner of the newcomers class at VASA.  Dashing has the nick name 'Rusty'.  His trot work was hard to fault but the canter was a little unsteady and showing his lack of experience.   As mentioned previously - some horses seemed a little uncomfortable with the hard going.

Stepping out in 'fine' style is Finest ridden by Michael Christie.  Finest is mostly called Joey and this black/brown gelding has been very successful in the show ring.
