Open Hack - Final Round
Highlights - Page 2
The top 10 Open Hacks at this years Hidden Valley are
positively gorgeous and reflect the expertise and dedication of the people who source
these horses in their 'raw' state and then get to work with feed, grooming and training in
order to produce the quality that stands before us. I was quite dazzled by these
beautiful creatures.
Lemrac's
Dancing Poet has taken every top award in his few short years on the 'scene'. Today
he looked a little flat and lacked the sparkle that is usually present. The previous
day was one of the hottest days on record with the mercury climbing to 44.1 at Hidden
Valley - I am sure Poet was still recovering.
Sanlirra
Ambassador who
was very well ridden by
Shelley Penny.
Titanic
who is most known as 'Elroy' is a striking horse who rarely takes a bad picture. His
work today lacked smoothness and I wondered if he was feeling the ground like some of the
other horses. A top 10 finish in this company is a great result.
Caroline
Wagner gives WS Black Label a reassuring pat before they set off to try and take out the
2003 Hidden Valley Championship. She has only had Black Label for 3 months and must
be commended for establishing such a great rapport with the horse in such a short time.
It is obvious that she loves this horse and equally obvious that HE knows it! -
After a beautiful flowing workout - they were the Champions. Congratulations on a
job well done!
WS Black Label
A perfect Champion!
