Skyview Brydie

Skyview Brydie is a beautiful mare that represents the essence of 'performance horse' breeding.  She is by the WB/TB cross stallion Don Xavier and from a TB/Clydesdale mare. Brydie competes very successful in breed classes as well as in 'Rider' and Hack classes at top level competition.  Her owner proudly told me of Brydie's adventures at the 2003 Sydney Royal Show - and they are well worth mentioning.  Angela Latter - who bred the mare and still owns her was the Reserve Champion Lady rider, and won the Side Saddle Rider competition.  Brydie was the winner of the Side Saddle Hack contest.  The mare was the Champion Led Warmblood and won the Ridden Warmblood class.
Sincere congratulations to horse and rider - what a lovely story!  Proves that Warmbloods are not just good for performance they are also pretty and can be extremely versatile.

Centura Impact - taken in an earlier indoor class.  This lovely mare is by Centura Third Dimension and from a TB mare.   She is owned by S. Zanesco.
Belcam Corvette - by Contango ll from a Grannus ll mare.  This mare won almost every other class she contested over the weekend. She is owned by K. Remely and was bred by Belcam Stud in Queensland.
It is good to see some differing viewpoints as encourages owners that there is room for all horses in a show class as it is the personal preference of the judges.  The judges all did a fantastic job and it was often easy to see why they made their choices even though my choice may not have been the same.

Argentille Brindabella by Argentille Biathlon from a TB mare.  Brindabella was very successful this weekend and was the NSW Mare of the Year.
Congratulations to the Breeder - Val d'Argent Stud and her proud owner Georgina Brown.

Keith Smith is the National President of the AWHA.  He and wife Denise made the trip from Queensland to be part of the fun.  Denise is a well respected  equine Photographer and it is always nice to catch up with her.

Nartel Decaprio a lovely type by Leonardo 68 an imported Hanoverian, originally campaigned by Glennis Barrey, who has represented Australian Dressage in international competition.
This handsome young colt had a great weekend and is pictured here in an earlier class indoors.  He is owned by Narelle Telling who is sure to have continued success with him as his education progresses.
Harvest Aragorn a lovely young horse with loads of potential.  He has elevated and elastic movement and his owner - well respected NCAS Coach - Sally Barbera, has high hopes for him.  He is by Abbylara Avante (by Copernicus) and from Northern Catherine (the dam of Yardley Aphrodite) - Well done Sally!

Buckwell Park Power and Glory by  Highborn Powerlifter from a mare by Ennovyar Patriarch (also the sire of Ennovyar Viking, who took part this weekend).  This horse is a most beautiful colour and will be sure to impress wherever he goes.  He is owned by M & K Hamill.  He was turned out magnificently - congratulations.
Laser Entrapment by Morilla Chopin and from a TB mare by Prize Song.

This horse has a walk for 10.  It is not that often that one sees a beautiful, measured and hurried walk with a 20" overtrack.

He owner, Rachel McClure is a show horse enthusiast and judge..  Her presentation of Entrapment was outstanding.
