Patrons
attending the Bendigo meeting today will have the opportunity to witness the Warrnambool
Intensive Care unit in full swing, with Pat and Simon Ryan bringing their last start,
hometown winner along to contest the Jack Dreschler Memorial Hurdle over 3000 metres.
Intensive Care heads the weights in a compact
field of seven and if the 7yo can reproduce his scintillating form of January 21st, it
will take a mighty effort to prevent him from scoring successive wins.
Oriental Fling will have no shortage of
confidence on his back though, with Ciaron Maher fresh from a hard fought victory aboard
Knights Passage at Mornington yesterday and could pose a danger to the topweight if
his jumping ability is equivalent to his recent flat form.
Eric Musgrove will be hoping an improved
effort will be forthcoming from his dour 8yo, Gentle Habits and encourage him to proceed
with a programme headed towards a return to the trainers beloved Oakbank in April.
Whilst these three look to hold the main
chances, the race could yet prove to be one of those events when the fancied runners are
blown out of the water by a real smoky.
So make sure you catch up with all the action
right here, where jumps racing is the nunber one topic of conversation.
