In Spain the broodmares also take part in a traditional display - it is a very moving and quite unusual way to see horses perform. The mares all have a bell around their necks and are joined together by a long string threaded through their collars. They are worked in formation by a rider on a stallion in front of the line, thisis called a cobra. In some movements another rider assistant from behind. The stallions seemed to enjoy this job !!! |
