CIC *** Showjumping - Page 1
At
2pm the Showjumping phase of the CIC *** began, and this event would decide the final
placings. With a good deal of rain overnight and intermittent showers from early in
the morning, the going was not perfect.
I spoke to quite a few of the
competitors and they said that the footing was quite firm, presenting no real problems for
them and their horses. When you look at the wonderful natural drainage on lovely
sandy soil - I guess it is not surprising!
Some of the crowd braving the
showers to see the best horses competing at this prestigious event.
They also enjoyed the food, wine and wonderful
surroundings.
Prior to the event, course
builder David Sheppard and Bettina Hoy inspect the jumps.
